Not a certificate. By the end of Road To Tech you have shipped real software that other people can use, under your own name, with the code on GitHub to prove you wrote it.

  • A full website, live on the web at its own address

  • The server and database behind it, deployed and running

  • A mobile app, published to the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store

The courses

Three courses, one path

Each course builds directly on the one before it — about 42 weeks of teaching in all. You start with Course 1; the next opens when your cohort reaches it.

    Introduction to JavaScript

    Write real programs in JavaScript and Node.js. Two mini projects, a final project demoed live, and all of it on your GitHub.

  2. Web & Server App Development

    Web & Server App Development

    Build a full website in React, then the server and database behind it — Node, Express and Parse Server — and deploy both to the internet.

    Build the mobile app in React Native on the server you already run, then sign it and publish it to the Play Store and the App Store.

How a week works

  • One live class a week, on a day the cohort votes for
  • Four study days — Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Never Saturday
  • One assignment a week, due on Sunday, most checked automatically the moment you push
  • A Discord with mentors and the rest of your cohort for when you are stuck
